TV advert and Ticket news
The Belsonic promotional campaign steps up a gear this week, most notably with our lovely new telly ad which will be going out on ITV and C4 over the coming weeks. However it's already up on www.belsonic.com if you'd like to view it now.
In other news the first wave of tickets purchased at www.belsonic.com will be posted out from the beginning of the week. Don't be alarmed if you don't get yours until the end of the week though because we've already sold thousands of tickets and it will take us a while to process all the pending orders.
You can also still win tickets for all three days on www.belsonic.com and don't worry the competitions are free and have stupidly easy questions.

The Enemy
Since shooting straight to the top of the UK Album Charts in June 2007, Midlands teenagers The Enemy (drummer Liam Watts, singing guitarist Tom Clarke and bassist Andy Hopkins) have achieved more in a year than most bands do in their whole career. Maybe it's the motivation of trying to escape the boredom of life in their hometown, Coventry, but with a string of increasingly fervent festival slots under their belt, now is definitely their time.
'We'll Live and Die in These Towns', the band's chart busting Debut LP, has already yielded huge indie anthems 'Had Enough' and 'Away From Here', as well as new single 'This Song is About You'. Praise has been coming from all corners, with the band winning NME's 'Best New Band' as well as XFM's 'Best British Debut Album of 2007'.
With work now in progress on their second LP, the band recently sold out 6 nights running in London's Astoria Theatre, as well as selling out 2 nights of homecoming shows in Coventry's Ricoh Arena.

Sheffield based indie rockers Reverend and The Makers, fronted by Jon McClure, nicknamed "The Reverend", made their live debut in 2005, and in the spring of 2006 Arctic Monkeys took McClure and his band on the road as their opening act. In time, Reverend And The Makers developed a loyal following and could sell out 1,000-capacity clubs in their Sheffield hometown. Mark Jones saw the band and was strongly impressed, promptly signing them to his Wall Of Sound label.
Reverend And The Makers' first single, 'Heavyweight Champion Of The World' appeared in May 2007, and included an appearance by one of McClure's lyrical inspirations, John Cooper Clarke, on the B-side, 'The Last Resort'. A second single, 'He Said He Loved Me', followed, with the group's first album, The State Of Things, appearing in shops in September 2007, to coincide with tour dates alongside The Verve, Ian Brown and The Ting Tings.

Fighting With Wire emerged from the ever creative Northern Ireland music scene in 2003, the brainchild of guitarist Cahir O’Doherty (Jetplane Landing / Clearshot) and drummer Craig McKean (Clearshot). An idealistic bunch, they’ve since done what rock bands are meant to do: they wrote a bunch of songs, and took to the road. The last three years has seen them play shows with the likes of Reuben, Biffy Clyro, Million Dead, Seafood, YCNI:M and Future Of The Left, racking up hundreds of miles and honing their live show into a ferocious explosion in the process.
After putting out a number of limited edition DIY singles, they took a breather at the end of 2006 and finally started work on their longawaited debut album. Recorded in Northern Ireland and finally completed in mid-2007, Man Vs Monster is a dynamic beast of a record – raging out of your speakers one moment yet gentle and intricate the next, and all without losing focus of what’s important: the song. Atlantic Records stepped into the breach in March of this year to pen a deal for the International release of their debut LP, with MTV2 and Zane Lowe singing the band's praises.

Formed from the embers of seminal UK rock bands McLusky and Jarcrew, Future of the Left released their ferocious debut LP 'Curses' in September 2007 to widespread critical acclaim. Regarded to be one of 2008's most exciting new acts, Future of the Left are currently working on their sophomore album.

Local rockers General Fiasco are currently the talk of every industry office in London. Formed just last year, their blend of rock and alternative is as fresh as it is exciting, and the band are set to make huge waves across the UK this year.
